Job summary

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator for the Western Zone, based at Queens General Hospital. The role centers on assessing and implementing clinical knowledge, leading education programs and fostering interprofessional practice to improve patient outcomes.

The educator will design and evaluate learning experiences, support orientation, and partner with stakeholders to advance practice. Travel to facilities within the Western Zone is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Nursing required.
Active practicing license in good standing with NSNMR required.
Minimum three years full-time clinical nursing experience within last five years in Emergency nursing required.
CNA certification or willing to complete.
Certified EPICC Facilitator and related training preferred.
BLS-C (HCP) or RQI BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Assess, implement, plan, evaluate and support the application of clinical knowledge to translate knowledge to practice.
Provide guidance to advance practice and maintain evidence-based standards of care to optimize patient outcomes.
Lead orientation and ongoing education programs with a learner-centered approach.
Offer advice, consultation and support to education initiatives across the interprofessional team.
