Job summary

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to lead assessment, design and evaluation of education programs that translate knowledge into practice across the Western Zone. You will support orientation and ongoing education, collaborating with stakeholders to advance professional practice.

The role requires active NSNMR licensure, 3+ years in emergency nursing and education experience, with travel to facilities within the Western Zone as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
• Master of Nursing, Health or Education preferred
• Active practicing license in good standing with NSNMR required
• CNA Certification/other specialty certification required or willing to complete
• Certified EPICC Facilitator, CTA Instructor, and completion of Interprofessional Simulation Facilitation Course preferred
• BLS-C (HCP) or RQI BLS certification required
• Recent experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator/Nursing Instructor preferred
• Experience in onboarding staff and transition to practice is an asset
• Adult education theory & application and leadership development experience preferred
• Fluent in multiple languages is an asset (French preferred)

• Assess, implement, plan, evaluate and support application of clinical knowledge to practice.
• Provide advice, consultation, and support to advance practice and develop evidence-based standards of care.
• Foster learning culture and implement orientation and ongoing education programs.
• Support integration of learner-centered approaches and interprofessional learning frameworks.
