Job summary

CBI Health seeks a Community Kinesiologist to provide client-centered care in the Surrey area. The role involves supporting individuals in their rehabilitation journey through tailored exercise plans and active treatment modalities while collaborating with healthcare teams. Ideal candidates will have a background in kinesiology and be registered or in the process of registration with BCAK.

If you are a dynamic Kinesiologist interested in personal and professional growth, CBI Health Group has an excellent opportunity for you to meet these goals, supported by one of the largest healthcare networks in Canada.

This is a full-time community-based role with travel around the Surrey / Langley area.

Wage Range : $24.00-$40.00 dependent on whether hired as an Independent Contractor

Monitor and support clients as they engage in exercise and active treatment modalities and tailoring the plan to suit the client need and resources.
Provide education / skills to clients to maximize treatment participation and recovery.
Provide regular updates to clinical stakeholders, including case managers, treatment providers, through emails and phone calls.
Navigate challenges through interpersonal communication / collaboration – working with the network within CBI, but also developing lasting relationships with various funders, employers and case managers.
Network with other treatment providers to provide a safe and sustainable platform active rehabilitation and exercise.
Work with a client profile that can range from acute strains / sprains, orthopedic injuries, chronic pain, to cognitive and / or mood-related disorders
Prepare and submit initial, progress and discharge reports in-line with program and contract standards.

Here's What You'll Need To Be Successful

Have an undergraduate degree in kinesiology or human kinetics
Registered / in the process of registering with BCAK
Have excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to work independently
Be seeking a challenging opportunity to continue to build a growing practice
Be comfortable working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
Be comfortable working with mental health and chronic pain clients
Have excellent oral and written communication skills
Be empathetic with an effective ability to build rapport with patients
Demonstrate an understanding of medical conditions, disability management, and appropriate exercise prescription and progression
Have a reliable vehicle for use with appropriate insurance
