Job summary

Northern Health is seeking a Home Support Aide to provide in-home care to clients in the Vanderhoof region. You will follow pre-established care plans and assist with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and meal planning, to promote independence and safe living at home.

A key requirement is current registration with the BC Care Aide Registry, with experience in home support or community care preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have current registration with the BC Care Aide Registry.
• Experience in home support or community care is preferred.
• Strong communication and compassionate patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, oral hygiene).
• Plan and prepare meals in accordance with care plans.
• Promote independence and safety in the home environment.
• Follow delegated tasks and care plans under supervision to support well-being.
