Job summary

'Na̱mg̱is First Nation is seeking a dedicated Community Health Nurse (RN) to join our health team in Alert Bay, British Columbia. The role focuses on health promotion, disease prevention, and community-based nursing for all ages through clinics, home visits, and education.

Reporting to the Health Centre, you will plan, implement, and evaluate health programs, maintain client records per BC NCN standards, and participate in emergency preparedness and interprofessional collaboration to ensure

Qualifications

• RN degree and active registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• CDCC certificate or equivalent.
• Valid BC driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
• Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check.

Responsibilities

• Health promotion and disease prevention in the community.
• Home visits, clinics, and health education programs.
• Documentation and confidential record management per BCCNM standards.
• Emergency preparedness and response as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community partners.
• Support program planning, evaluation, and health centre operations.

Education
