Job summary

The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking a part-time Food Bank Support role to assist in the Community and Family Services area. You will help sort and distribute food donations, greet clients, and support volunteers in a fast-paced setting.

The position is 21 hours per week with an hourly wage between 15.90 CAD and 18.80 CAD, with a maximum of 21.69 CAD depending on experience and market conditions. Training and Safe Food Handling Certification are provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Safe Food Handling Certification required.
• CPR, First Aid and Non-Violent Crisis Training required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work 21 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Sort and store food donations according to guidelines.
• Answer phones, register clients and create appointments.
• Enter client data in the database and prepare posters.
• Lead volunteers and assist in daily food distribution setup.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas before and after operations.
