Job summary

The John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights (JHC) is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator to lead community engagement, workshop facilitation, and event logistics within Edmonton and surrounding regions. The role emphasizes collaboration with internal and external facilitators and requires coordinating outreach, logistics, and reporting.

Candidates should have experience with project coordination, accessible event planning, and working respectfully with Indigenous communities.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating community projects, timelines, and reporting.
• Event logistics planning with accessibility and safety considerations.
• Administrative skills for tracking activities and communications.
• Experience collaborating with Indigenous communities or equity-focused groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead community-engagement activities, workshops, and events in-person and online.
• Coordinate logistics for meetings, venues, accessibility, travel and accommodations.
• Prepare activity reports and maintain administrative records.
• Support outreach and relationship-building with community partners and facilitators.
• Attend bi-weekly staff meetings and coordinate with project leads and leadership.
• Occasional travel within AB, SK, MB; cover reasonable expenses.
