Job summary

AMA - Alberta Motor Association is seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to help coordinate events and school safety programs, build partnerships, and promote AMA’s community presence in Alberta. You will support administrative tasks, manage equipment and inventory, and liaise with vendors and stakeholders to ensure successful community initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or post-secondary diploma in related fields; a degree in communications/marketing is an asset.
  • 1–2 years of experience in public relations, program coordination, event management, sponsorship and print production is an asset.
  • Demonstrated communications or marketing skills are an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Bondable, vulnerable sector reference check required.
  • First aid training or willingness to take first aid training.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Supervisor, Community Engagement.
  • Provide administrative support including Equipment and Inventory Management.
  • Coordinate AMA events and liaise with staff, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and deliver effective AMA school safety programs to ensure ongoing operation excellence.
  • Represent AMA as a brand ambassador with all of AMA’s community partners.
  • Promote key AMA advocacy messaging while helping to enhance AMA’s brand in the community.

How You’ll Make An Impact

What You Bring To The Table
  • You have a high school diploma or post‑secondary diploma in related fields. A Degree in communications, marketing, early childhood development or community development is an asset.
  • You have one to two years of experience in applicable fields, such as public relations, program coordination, event management, sponsorship and print production is an asset.
  • Your demonstrated communications or marketing skills would be considered an asset.
  • You hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract and access to a personal vehicle.
  • You can produce a bondable, vulnerable sector reference check (police check).
  • You have some first aid training or willing to take first aid training.
