Job summary

Kativik llisarniliriniq seeks a Centre Director to lead the community school and manage all related services under the supervision of the Assistant Director General. The role includes implementing board policy, liaising with the board, and supervising staff across facilities, residences, and equipment.

The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree and at least three years in administration or education, with fluency in Inuktitut and either French or English. Nunavik residency is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Implement Board and local policy as determined by the Commissioners and the local Education Committee.
• Liaise between the community and the board.
• Organize and supervise the physical plant including school, residences, shops, warehouse, vehicles and equipment.
• Serve as Secretary-Treasurer of the local Education Committee.
• Supervise, mentor and manage employees under their responsibility.
• Oversee all aspects of the organization and administration of Board activities within the community.
