Job summary

The Kativik Regional Government (KRG) in Kuujjuaq, QC invites applications for the role of Assistant Director - Socio-Judicial Services. The role oversees Sapummijiit Centre (CAVAC) and the Inuit Community Reintegration Program, guiding socio-judicial services across Nunavik.

Reporting to the Director, you will lead a team, develop annual objectives, and liaise with governments and partners. Fluency in English and French is required; travel within Nunavik is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in administration or project management.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in socio-judicial sector and management.
• Leadership, organization, and initiative demonstrated.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, communication and analytical skills.
• English and French oral and written skills required; Inuktitut is an asset.
• Ability to travel in Nunavik and outside the region; cross-cultural experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and evaluate Sapummijiit centre activities and Inuit reintegration program.
• Ensure quality delivery of socio-judicial services in Nunavik.
• Supervise the coordinator and evaluate performance.
• Set annual objectives, draft plans and reports.
• Create tools to encourage best practices within the team.
• Develop communication tools and share information regionally.
• Represent the department with governments and partners; attend meetings.
• Assist the Director with budget prep, objectives and activity reports.
• Perform other duties as requested.
