The Robin Hood Association in Sherwood Park, AB is seeking a part-time Community Disability Worker to cover every other Saturday (shift 10:30 PM–10:30 PM, 24 hours). The role involves implementing individual plans, providing direct care, and promoting community participation for individuals with developmental and physical disabilities.

Qualifications include foundations in related studies, mandatory training, and strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Completion of mandatory trainings required for role.
• Strong communication, organization and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement individual service plans to support adults, youth and children.
• Provide direct care as scheduled and communicate changes in advance.
• Assist individuals to participate in personal goals and community activities.
• Assist with inclusion and participation in employment, recreation and life skills.
• Maintain records and prepare required reports and documentation.
• Communicate professionally with individuals, families and staff.
