The Community Disability Support Worker plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care and support within their community settings. Currently we have full-time, part-time and casual positions supporting individuals with developmental disabilities living in a residential home.
There is a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights and every other weekend rotation.
The required skills enable the Community Disability Support Worker to provide compassionate, respectful, and effective care tailored to each client’s needs. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with clients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and adjust support plans. Problem-solving and adaptability are frequently employed to respond to changing client circumstances and to promote independence.
