Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead community development initiatives in Kimberley. The role involves planning, execution and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, with direct engagement with community members, local authorities, and stakeholders.

You will oversee budgeting, schedules, and resource allocation, with a focus on improving lives in the Northern Cape region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, particularly in community development or related sectors.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Experience working directly with communities and local stakeholders in Kimberley or similar contexts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, budgeting, and implementation of community development projects from inception to completion.
• Manage project teams, contractors, and volunteers, ensuring effective coordination and performance.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and resource allocation plans.
• Liaise with community members, local government officials, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment and support.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
