Job description

The role of the Communications department is to develop and lead strategic communications through storytelling, earned media, influencer relations, and marketing content creation to reach and engage new consumers more frequently. The Communications Manager will lead strategy and execution for communications across regions of Canada, with a focus on Quebec. They will be responsible for effectively positioning and delivering messages across various third-party and owned media channels (social media, web, TV, radio, and print) to bring the RedBull brand to life and establish its relevance to target audiences.

The Senior Manager of Communications will collaborate with cross-functional teams within our media network to lead projects and activate Paid, Earned, Managed & Owned (PEMO) plans within sports, culture, brand initiatives, content development, and beverage product innovations. They will be responsible for earned media activation through relationship building with traditional third-party entities and amplifying social media publishers.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure regional communication plans utilize effective media strategies to generate earned media coverage—traditional and social—reaching new consumers daily across the portfolios overseen.
  2. Build strong relationships with Quebec media related to sport, culture, and story-driven content.
  3. Use efficient tactics to promote media coverage and engage creators via RedBull's platforms.
  4. Create buzzworthy media moments and activations to promote RedBull messaging.
  5. Collaborate with sports and culture teams to integrate products in content and activations, leveraging athletes and artists as spokespeople.
  6. Maintain a calendar of RedBull national and regional programs.
  7. Measure outcomes with analytics tools and report results.
  8. Brief athletes, photographers, and production teams on brand approach and product integration.
  9. Develop relationships with French-speaking creators to support brand and product trust, ensuring diversity and relevance.
  10. Work cross-functionally to develop creator strategies aligned with business objectives.
  11. Ensure creators are true product ambassadors and manage product barriers.
Qualifications
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Minimum 5 years in communications/public relations, preferably in sports, culture, or CPG brands
  • Experience working with social media influencers and high-profile talent, especially within entertainment, sport, or media industries
  • Knowledge of Quebec media and French-speaking influencers
  • Proven track record in leading projects and securing brand engagement via earned media
  • Creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Self-starter, independent, confident
  • Excellent storytelling, written, and presentation skills
  • Experience working with multiple departments and global stakeholders
  • Ability to build media relations with national and local outlets
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
