The Communications Manager (m / f / d) role at Roche Canada Pharma offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a healthier future by driving the strategic development and execution of internal and external communications initiatives. By igniting a passion for Roche Canada among various audiences and sharing impactful stories, the Communications Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing the corporate reputation and ultimately improving outcomes for patients and healthcare systems.
Your key responsibilities
Developing and implementing internal and external communications strategies to effectively communicate Roche Canada's story and educating key audiences about the value of innovation and innovative medicines.
Shaping and positioning the Roche brand and reputation by tailoring the right message to the right audience at the right time through the right channels.
Considering key business insights to create cohesive outcome-based communications strategies
Voice of Healthcare :
Ensuring a united external presence for Roche Canada by leading cross-functional visibility efforts.
Maintaining a thorough knowledge of Roche Canada's medicines, therapeutic areas, healthcare policy initiatives, and other relevant business factors.
Managing strategic content creation and flow for internal and external communications channels, including website, social media channels, and blog.
Teams and Stakeholders :
Collaborating with stakeholders to align messaging and approaches, co-creating content, and identifying employee engagement opportunities across all functions within Roche Canada Pharma.
Anticipating issues, developing mitigation plans, and minimizing impact on patients and Roche.
Your Profile
Confident bilingual communications expert with strong writing skills.
Experienced in the public affairs trifecta (government relations, stakeholder relations, and communications).
Appreciates the complexity of Canada's healthcare systems.
Calm under pressure (and maybe even loves working toward a tight deadline!).
Strategic thinker who can balance planning and implementation.
What you’ll need to be successful
In this position, you will be servicing customers across Canada, therefore a proficient level of English and French are required.
Experience ranging from 5-7 years in a communications role (PR agency and / or in-house pharmaceutical company experience an asset) or transferable skills and experience from related functional areas.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience writing across different mediums, and through different voices
Creative thinker who will bring bold ideas to the table and deliver new and highly effective communications while remaining in tune with local compliance and Canadian regulations.
