BB4CK is seeking a Communications Coordinator to join our Marketing & Communications team. Reporting to the Team Lead, Marketing & Communications, this role helps bring our mission to life through compelling content, digital engagement, and meaningful storytelling. From social media and digital campaigns to email marketing and community storytelling, you'll help connect our community to the impact of BB4CK, inspire support, and strengthen awareness of the important role we play in the lives of children and families.

Position Overview

The Communications Coordinator, reporting to the Team Lead, Marketing & Communications, creates compelling, on‑brand content that communicates BB4CK's mission and vision and inspires community support. This role is responsible for social media management, content creation, campaign development, email marketing, and digital engagement. Through strategic communications, design, and storytelling, the Communications Coordinator strengthens relationships, builds trust, and increases awareness of BB4CK's impact.

Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Design
  • Oversees the ongoing creation of content across platforms, including design, copywriting, video production, photography, and visual identity.
  • Develops campaign, program, and other initiative materials, ads, and assets that consistently reflect BB4CK's brand and fundraising goals.
Social Media & Digital Engagement
  • Manages and executes BB4CK's editorial calendar and ensures a steady flow of timely, engaging content.
  • Sustains community conversations, stories, and reposts to strengthen digital relationships.
  • Monitors analytics regularly to adapt strategies and grow BB4CK's digital presence.
Email Marketing & Newsletters
  • Leads the ongoing development and distribution of BB4CK newsletters and email campaigns through the email marketing platform.
  • Develops email content that strengthens donor, volunteer, and community engagement.
  • Tracks performance data to inform continuous improvement of email strategy.
Campaigns & Communications Support
  • Contributes to planning and delivery of campaigns, ensuring communications elements are effectively executed.
  • Develops campaign visuals and messaging that align with BB4CK's organizational objectives.
  • Provides communications support for key initiatives such as Brown Bagging Month and special events.
Website & Brand Stewardship
  • Maintains and enhances BB4CK's website to ensure content is accurate, engaging, and mission aligned.
  • Reviews internal materials for alignment with BB4CK brand guidelines, safeguarding brand consistency.
Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Responds to team requests with creative and technical expertise to support program, fund development, and operations initiatives.
  • Integrates communications across departments, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
Whole Organization

  • Support BB4CK's mission by helping create welcoming volunteer experiences and contributing to organizational needs as they arise.
Education & Experience
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, Design, or a related field (equivalent experience considered).
  • 2–4 years of experience in communications, content creation, or digital marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience in content creation, campaign execution, and digital engagement.
  • Experience in nonprofit or community-based communications is an asset.

Total Compensation & Benefits
