Its overall goal is to develop inclusive communities in which all Albertans can participate in the social, economic, and cultural life of the province without discrimination.
Created by the Government of Alberta, the Commission is an independent commission that reports to the Minister of Justice. It has a two-fold mandate: to foster equality and to reduce discrimination. It fulfills this mandate through the resolution and settlement of human rights complaints; an administratively fair human rights tribunal process, and through education programs, policy development, and collaborative initiatives.

Reporting to the Director, Communication, Education and Engagement (CEE), you will lead and support diverse marketing and communications initiatives. This challenging yet rewarding position requires strategic thinking, creativity, and the ability to translate complex human rights issues into clear, accessible messages for a wide range of audiences.
As Communications Consultant, you will lead content creation, develop comprehensive communication plans, and support both internal and external communications initiatives. You'll collaborate closely with internal subject matter experts and CEE colleagues to ensure effective and timely delivery of key messages across various platforms.
