What is the opportunity?
As Communications Associate, CCG, you will be part of a high performing team supporting the development and execution of communications that advance Corporate Client Group’s strategic initiatives, results and employee engagement. You will have primary accountability for managing CCG’s intranet/social collaboration sites (e.g. Connect). You have a passion for making a difference and know that effective communication is at the heart of successful business results and employee engagement.
What will you do?
Provide day-to-day tactical support in developing and executing communications across different channels – e.g. newsletter articles, executive messages, speeches, intranet/collaboration sites, presentations, emails – ensuring information is accurate, timely and relevant
Manage the design and ongoing maintenance of CCG’s intranet/social collaboration sites
Collaborate with partners in CCG and across Commercial Banking to increase employee understanding of initiatives and cultivate an engaged workforce through storytelling and effective communications
Develop strong relationships with leaders, employees and regional partners to understand needs and concerns and have a clear understanding of initiatives
Support the measurement of communication effectiveness by establishing and promoting performance measures and gathering and preparing reports, as required
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
University degree or post grad certificate in corporate communications or a related field, along with excellent oral and communication skills
2-5 years of experience working in corporate communications
Experience in managing internal communications and implementing internal communication programs
Strong collaborative skills with ability to multitask and handle demands from multiple sources amidst tight deadlines in a high-pace and demanding environment
Proficient in using Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), LinkedIn, SharePoint and Poppulo
Experience in web design and managing intranet/collaboration sites
Proactive, self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and can adapt to a quickly changing environment
Nice to have:
Financial services experience
Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel, digital media and web design
Aptitude to learn and test new communication media
