Position Overview

As a Component Testing Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and successful delivery of Component Testing activities for the project. Working as a member of the Commissioning Project team, you will support the business in defining procedures and managing the team to execute tests. The role will require interaction with teams and external partners to manage shared resources and interdependencies.

Location
The position will be based on our project in Darlington, ON. The successful candidate will be local to Darlington, Oshawa, or surrounding areas, or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

  • Drive an inclusive culture promoting equity, diverse perspectives, and career growth.
  • Lead the preparation and execution of Component Testing.
  • Supervise project personnel.
  • Plan, scope, and detail all component testing activities.
  • Monitor progress, resolve issues, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Participate in plant walk-downs and support installation and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure all commissioning tasks are carried out safely and according to relevant procedures and risk assessments.
  • Manage stakeholder liaison to obtain necessary permissions for work execution.
  • Support the close-out of engineering actions and audits.
  • Identify applicable engineering standards for commissioning and pre-operations.
  • Maintain technical competence in modern standards and methodologies.
  • Keep departmental costs within budget.
  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Collaborate with project managers and estimating teams.
Qualifications
  • Champion inclusion and diversity.
  • Professional Engineer (PEng) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience as a commissioning manager on large nuclear new build projects.
  • Training in nuclear system commissioning, safety, and plant isolation.
  • Knowledge of nuclear industry standards and procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Must meet nuclear export controls requirements.
