Salas O'Brien, Inc. is seeking a Commissioning Agent to join the VSC Group in Ontario. You will perform on-site commissioning and off-site development, working with cloud-based tools to verify systems and ensure high-quality delivery.

The role blends field work with technical development, and requires strong communication and problem-solving abilities. You will travel frequently within Ontario, hold a Mechanical Engineering degree or technologist/technician diploma, and bring 2+ years of MEP

Formación

• Completion of a Mechanical Engineering degree or technologist/technician diploma in a related field.
• 2+ years of equivalent MEP construction, commissioning and project management experience.
• MS Office suite including Word, Excel, and Project.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Willing to travel within Ontario (not outside Canada) and have a valid Ontario driver’s license.
• Security clearance at Secret (Level II) or Top Secret (Level III) is required.

Job Summary:

Working on our commissioning team (VSC Group) as a Commissioning Agent, you will be providing commissioning services to our clients which includes both off-site development work and on-site physical verification services. In this role, you will:

• Work with the latest cloud-based commissioning technology and software.
• Develop detailed functional performance test procedures.
• Attend commissioning and related meetings which chairing meetings and taking minutes.
• Complete onsite commissioning including completing commissioning forms and identifying deficiencies.
• Represent VSC Group at commissioning site meetings to present progress status, identify items that are required to be completed by contractors, and answer contractor and client/owner representative questions

Required Skills/abilities:

• Completion of a Mechanical Engineering degree / Technologist or Technician diploma/degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of equivalent MEP construction, commissioning and project management experience.
• Computer literacy with MS Office including Word, Excel, and Project.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Analytical, problem solving and decision‑making skills.
• Willing to travel both in and out of Ontario (not outside Canada).
• Valid Ontario Driver's license and reliable transportation. Travel throughout Ontario to perform commissioning services will be required.
• Personnel security clearance is required at Secret (Level II) or Top Secret (Level III)

Travel: Frequent travel is required.
