Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary support to senior management in delivering outsourced insurance and risk management services to clients in the financial lending sector.
- Support Canadian lending institutions that partner with leading North American development companies.
- Report directly to the General Manager.
- Review risks and provide detailed feedback to management, insurance brokers, financial institutions, and clients.
- Critically assess insurance programs and present findings and recommendations to clients.
- Assist clients in completing insurance applications and compiling underwriting information.
- Review and negotiate various contracts—including leases, construction contracts, and other material agreements—on behalf of clients.
- Collect and analyze data to develop a Total Cost of Risk study using spreadsheets and tools to track costs historically and present insights visually to clients.
- Act as the primary client contact for risk management support and strategic guidance.
- Advise clients on claims-related issues and provide direction on claims management.
What you will need to succeed
- 2–5 years of underwriting or commercial insurance experience.
- Strong knowledge of the commercial insurance industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Background in disciplines requiring collaboration and structured work.
- Possession of or near completion of CIP, CAIB, or CRM designations is an asset.
