• Must have own tools.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The job duties performed by the Commercial Transport/Heavy Duty Mechanic include but are not limited to:

• Performing regular repairs and maintenance on heavy, medium, and light-duty work trucks and trailers
• Inspect, troubleshoot, test, or repair of brake systems, suspension, engines, hydraulics, electrical, air conditioning, fuel systems, transmissions and driveline components

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Minimum of three years' prior work experience in the mechanical trade
• Experience with diesel engines
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts
• Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to problem solving
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Licensed Commercial Transport or Heavy Duty Mechanic

• Valid Drivers Licence – minimum Class 5 (preference for Class 1 or 3 with Air Brakes)
• Must have own tools

COMPENSATION

• $35 - $43/hour dependent on experience and performance
• RRSP matching program
