Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the company’s head office in Kent as a Commercial Team Leader working on their “Key Accounts”. This brokerage is proudly independent where they are a very client focused organisation specialising in many bespoke insurance schemes and products. There is currently a big push by the company for development this year and it is therefore a very good and exciting time to join this organisation.

The opportunity would be to support the Customer Service Delivery Manager in maintaining high levels of customer service to all clients, especially the Company’s Key Account and Elite clients.

To assist in developing key account proposition in conjunction with Renewals Director and Team Leaders.

Specific duties and responsibilities:
  1. Negotiating and delivery of MTA and claims settlement
  2. Deliver the best possible service for our clients
  3. Premium collect from client for MTA
  4. Diary management of Open GI
  5. Daily liaising/ communications/ administration for clients handled
  6. Servicing of an allocated selection of larger and more complex accounts
  7. Handling of mid-term issues on renewal business
  8. Placement of some new business (cross sales)
  9. Coordination with the HR team on employment relation issues
  10. Management of the team allocated (absence management, 1-2-1’s, providing management feedback)
  11. Provides encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas of new training or skill checks
  12. Assists management with hiring processes and new team member training
  13. Preparing and delivering presentations at Company meetings
  14. Preparing and delivering presentations at Client meetings
Requirements:
  1. Excellent motivational & leadership skills
  2. Strong levels of emotional intelligence
  3. Strong knowledge of commercial insurance
  4. Excellent communication skills
  5. Self-starter and self-motivated in the working environment
Key Responsibilities including but not limited to:
  1. Vehicles Adjustments and Complex MTA’s
  2. Ad-hoc re-broking cases in relation to unique requirements
  3. Diary management on OpenGi
  4. Daily caseloads in respect of incoming post enquiries and emails
  5. Maintaining Client and Customer Relations to increase retention
  6. Assisting in the daily management of the team (absences, 1-2-1s, training, etc.)
Person Specifications:
  1. Knowledge of commercial insurance (approx. 5 years)
  2. Experience of running a team within an insurance brokerage
  3. Excellent communication skills
  4. Organised and systematic approach to work
  5. Good attention to detail
  6. Self-starter and self-motivated in the working environment
  7. The ability to work to own initiative
  8. Proficient with Outlook, Excel and Word
