Job summary

Tayco, a modern office furniture manufacturer, is seeking a Commercial Space Designer to join its growing team in Toronto, Ontario. The role focuses on delivering design solutions, pricing, and product recommendations to support the sales team in expanding the customer base and increasing satisfaction.

The successful candidate will produce 2D/3D drawings, renderings, and parts lists, while coordinating with Engineering on custom requests and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the order

Qualifications

• Degree, Diploma, or Certificate from a post-secondary institution; or two years experience in Interior/Industrial Design, Engineering, or related field.
• Ability to read, interpret, and recreate Architectural Drawings/Floor Plans and written specs.
• Strong computer skills with CET, AutoCAD, CAD KEY, 20-20, Giza, rendering software; proficient with Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide design solutions, product recommendations, and pricing information to customers.
• Produce 2D/3D drawings, color renderings, and parts lists from project data.
• Coordinate with Engineering for custom requests and ensure drawing accuracy.
• Present final drawings and pricing to customers; identify cross-sell opportunities.
• Support sales team to grow existing customers and develop new base; manage quotes and territory.
