Job summary

Tremco CPG Inc. in Calgary is seeking a Foreman to lead roofing and restoration projects in the Calgary area. You will oversee field crews, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure safety and quality from project start to finish.

The role requires five years of foreman experience in roofing, strong communication, travel up to 25%, and willingness to work at heights. Competitive pay and company truck access are included.

Qualifications

• At least five years as a Foreman in roofing projects.
• Experience managing multiple projects with varying scopes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven time management skills.
• Willing to travel up to 25% or more within the region.
• Familiar with BUR, Single Ply, SBS and metal roofing systems.
• Ability to work at heights safely.
• Experience using technology to report project progression.
• Ability to work with others and apprentices.
• Valid Driver's License (company truck access).
• Some experience estimating jobs is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Execute on all projects within the region from start-up to completion.
• Manage a crew of Field Technicians to complete projects safely and efficiently.
• Conduct daily onsite safety briefs and address safety concerns promptly.
• Oversee crew training and ensure tools and materials are available.
• Communicate with all parties throughout the project.
• Order, track, and monitor inventory; perform quarterly cycle counts.
• Complete end-of-day/end-of-project walkthroughs; report status photos and updates.
• Price service jobs with supervisor.
• Monitor performance of Field Resource Reps and escalate as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Regional Manager.

Job Description

Tremco CPG has been a world leader in solving complex waterproofing and roofing problems for commercial, institutional, and industrial accounts since 1928. Weatherproofing Technologies, Tremco’s service division is currently

seeking Foreman for the projects in the Calgary area.

Responsibilities

• This individual is responsible for executing on all projects within the region (including GC and larger-scale restoration & repair projects) from start-up to completion.
• He/she will be responsible to manage a crew of Field Technicians to ensure the project is done safely and efficiently, within the project scope or work specification.
• The incumbent will be responsible for safety through conducting daily onsite briefs with the appropriate parties, inspect and ensure all surroundings, equipment and tools are safe. Address any safety concerns promptly.
• He/she will manage crew training and ensure all tools and materials are available to complete the assigned project within the contractual conditions.
• Ensure all appropriate parties are communicated with throughout the course of the project.
• The incumbent is responsible for the ordering, tracking, and monitoring inventory and ensure Quarterly cycle counts are completed and submitted timely.
• He/she will complete an end of day and/or end of project walk through to ensure quality repairs and address any items prior to leaving the job site. Before and after pictures will be sent to the Sales Rep and information will be sent daily on project status. These items will include, detailed work performed updates, materials consumed and supplies purchases are all recording daily.
• Responsible for pricing service jobs in conjunction with their supervisor
• Manage, monitor, and document performance of Field Resource Reps and take appropriate steps or corrective measures to resolve employee and work-related issues. Escalate employee items to the Supervisor and Human Resources team as needed
• Perform any other duty and/or project as required or assigned by the Supervisor and/or Regional Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of Foreman experience in the roofing industry.
• Experience managing multiple projects with varying scopes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven time management skills
• Willing to travel (Up to 25% or more) within the assigned region.
• Must be thoroughly familiar with (BUR, Single Ply, SBS), safety systems and other forms of low-slope roofing systems as well as metal and other steep slope roofing systems and how to properly repair them.
• Ability to work at heights.
• Demonstrated experience using technology to report on project progression.
• Ability to work and communicate with others and apprentices.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License. (will have access to company truck).
• Some experience estimating jobs is an asset.

This is a new position. Pay range is $37-$70. Final compensation is dependent upon individual's knowledge, skills, experience, internal equity and market data alignment.
