Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000/yr

CMLS Financial, a leading commercial lender in Canada, is looking to expand our award-winning Operations team. This role offers an entry point into the financial services industry, with opportunities for training and career growth. You will be part of a high-performance team handling borrower relations, payments, property tax, insurance, post-funding account management, and securitizations.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with borrowers and external clients to gather and verify documentation for compliance, including financial data, property data, tax payments, insurance renewals, and security documents.
• Facilitate mortgage funding and assist with construction advances.
• Record transactions accurately in the loan management system, ensuring data integrity.
• Manage follow-up tasks throughout the mortgage lifecycle.
• Calculate interest adjustments, prepayment penalties, and other financial components.
• Oversee remittances, reconcile accounts, and generate reports for clients.

Additional duties:

• Ensure communication with borrowers and lenders complies with policies.
• Process post-closing transactions accurately.
• Develop proficiency in other team functions as a floater.
• Implement controls to maintain system integrity.
• Conduct peer reviews and participate in team training.
• Manage client files and databases efficiently.
• Handle internal and external client inquiries and data requests.

• Results-oriented with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in analytical, numerical, and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Professional, judgmental, and ethical.
• Passionate about real estate lending.
• Self-motivated with strong administrative skills.
• Responsible, deadline-driven, and discreet with sensitive information.
• Excellent communicator.
• Degree or near completion in relevant fields like Real Estate, Business, Math, or Economics.
• Experience in banking or financial services is a plus.
