Job summary

Westland Insurance Group Ltd is growing and has a hybrid opportunity for a Commercial Marketer to join our Burlington, ON office. You’ll support our Commercial Insurance teams by representing and marketing Westland’s solutions to insurers and markets.

Ideal candidates have at least 5 years in Commercial Insurance, a Level 2 RIBO license, and strong communication skills. This role offers growth, learning, and a flexible work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Commercial Insurance experience (sales, account manager or marketer role)
• Level 2 RIBO License
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of London Markets and in-house authorities

Responsibilities

• Develop marketing submissions, proposals, presentations, and summaries of our commercial insurance programs.
• Be an in-house expert, sharing knowledge of market appetites and rate expectations.
• Build strong relationships with Carriers/Underwriters and attend industry events.
• Collaborate with brokers in the USA and London to place international and cross-border accounts.
• Inspire, coach and mentor other Commercial team members through the submission process.

Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $64,000 to $80,000 based on a 35-hour work week. Actual offered salary will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as market conditions for the role, and internal equity.

Reason for Vacancy: This is a newly created role to support our expanding operations.
