Job summary

The Heller Group Legal and Executive Search is assisting a mid-sized Toronto firm in seeking a commercial leasing lawyer with at least 6 years of experience to join their well-established team.

The successful candidate will handle drafting, reviewing, and negotiating lease agreements for office, retail, and industrial properties, advise on complex lease provisions, and manage portfolios including renewals and subleases while working closely with clients.

Qualifications

• Licensed lawyer in good standing in Canada
• Minimum 6 years of experience in commercial leasing
• Experience handling office/retail/industrial leases and portfolios

The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of commercial leasing matters, including:

• drafting, reviewing, and negotiating lease agreements and related documentation for office, retail, and industrial properties;
• advising clients on the interpretation and application of complex lease provisions;
• managing lease portfolios, handling renewals, amendments, assignments, and subleases; and
• working closely with clients to resolve leasing disputes and day-to-day occupancy issues.
