We are looking for a Commercial Insurance Broker (Client Service Representative) to join our team in Winnipeg!
As a Client Service Representative, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing a profitable book of business according to the company's objectives and individual business plans. You will assist the Client Service Manager (CSM) in providing high-quality service to clients, colleagues, and insurers.
Your Day as a Client Service Representative
- Maintain electronic files (EPIC) to ensure organization and currency, including policy documentation and wordings, using proper naming conventions.
- Set up new clients in EPIC.
- Process invoices, enclosure letters, and other documentation.
- Prepare presentation of policy documentation in binders for clients.
- Issue certificates of insurance from client requests/contracts and ensure the insurance program meets requirements in conjunction with the CSM.
- Print liability cards (pink slips, NOA).
- Issue template letters for liability cards and mail them.
- Coordinate with insurers to confirm and amend coverage as needed, in collaboration with the CSM.
- Advise clients of discrepancies between their insurance program and documentation.
- Review policy wordings and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare certificate lists at renewal and issue certificates of insurance with the CSA.
- Create abeyances, advise the team, and follow up on outstanding items.
- Ensure all correspondence is accurate and timely.
- Organize and prepare premium financing when applicable.
- Follow BFL policies and procedures, including security and quality standards.
- Perform other duties and special projects as required.
Our Ideal Candidate
- 3+ years of commercial insurance experience.
- Level 2 license or working towards it (insurance designation, CIP or CAIB preferred).
- Client service-oriented.
- Maintains licensing requirements and continuing education.
- Excellent communication skills—listening, verbal, and written.
- Ability to work independently, in a team, and across organization levels.
- Working knowledge of EPIC is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
