Job summary

HUB International in Cranbrook/Castlegar, BC seeks a Commercial Insurance Associate to support commercial accounts and interact with clients, insurers and partners. You will help prepare documentation, process renewals, and respond to inquiries while ensuring compliance and accuracy.

The role requires a Level 2 license, strong service mindset, and ability to manage workload in a fast paced team setting. Onsite role with salary 45k–60k CAD.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Insurance License required.
• 1 year of commercial insurance experience preferred.
• Industry designation assets (CIP/CAIB/CRM) or related diploma preferred.
• Strong data entry and compliance with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist producers and marketers with servicing commercial accounts.
• Meet client needs and process documentation (COIs, renewals, proposals).
• Review policy documents for accuracy before sending to clients.
• Coordinate renewals and collect information from clients.
• Respond to client inquiries and provide coverage information.

You will help build long-term relationships with our clients with helping to answer client inquires and requests through policy and coverage insurers.*We currently have openings available in both our **Cranbrook** and **Castlegar** branches.***A day in the life -*** Assist producer and marketer with all aspects of servicing commercial accounts* Meet existing clients’ needs and process documentation (Certificates of Insurance, Cover Notes, Renewals, Proposals, Endorsements, In-House Policies, Invoicing, Finance Contracts, Customer Correspondence)* Review and ensure accuracy of policy documentation from insurers before forwarding to the client* Contact clients for renewal information* Take client calls and answer questions regarding coverages, accept and process online quotes* Negotiate with insurers on coverage and price so as to best meet the needs of the client in conjunction with the producer* Update client information as changes occur* Answer account related questions/requests from clients, lawyers, and banks* Provide policy and coverage information to clients upon request or inquiry* Will be assigned some minimal, but regular duties to help support the floater position**What you will bring to our team -*** Level 2 Insurance License* 1 year of commercial insurance experience considered an asset* 1 year of general insurance industry experience considered an asset* Industry designation considered an asset (CIP, CAIB, CRM, or General Insurance and Risk Management Diploma, BCIT)* Highly self-directed with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to manage your own workload* Strong attention to detail, with accuracy in data entry and documentation* Committed to following established processes, policy, and compliance requirements* Collaborative approach and a genuine interest in contributing to a diverse team* Strong customer service focus with the ability to deliver positive client experiences* Clear and credible written and verbal communication across all levels of the organization* Comfortable working in a fast paced, client focused environment* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook**Salary Expectations –**The expected salary range for this position is $45,000 to $60,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
