Job summary

W3Global in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to review drawings, prepare detailed estimates for materials, labour, equipment and subcontractors, and participate in tender submissions.

You will conduct quantity takeoffs, evaluate quotations, identify cost risks, and support pre-bid meetings, with a focus on accuracy, deadlines, and effective communication with contractors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience estimating commercial electrical projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical construction methods and materials.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of Canadian electrical codes and construction practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating/takeoff software.
• Experience with Accubid, Live Count, or similar estimating software is an asset.
• Electrical trade experience, construction background is essential.
