Job summary

OPAL Corporate Connections is partnering with one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers to recruit a Finance Consulting Analyst for the Commercial Banking team in Ontario. The role targets experienced commercial credit professionals who analyze complex commercial real estate financing transactions over $5 million.

You will analyze financing requests, prepare credit applications, and perform portfolio reviews while collaborating with account managers to support financing decisions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience analyzing commercial credit facilities or CRE financing transactions over $5M

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex commercial financing requests and provide well-supported credit recommendations.
• Prepare detailed credit applications, including financing structures, conditions, and security requirements.
• Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and ongoing risk assessments.
• Partner closely with Commercial Account Managers and other internal stakeholders to support financing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Contribute to sound credit risk management while supporting the growth of the commercial portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced commercial credit professionals who are passionate about complex lending and enjoy working on sophisticated financing transactions. This role is best suited for candidates who currently analyze commercial real estate financing transactions exceeding $5 million.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze complex commercial financing requests and provide well-supported credit recommendations.
• Prepare detailed credit applications, including financing structures, conditions, and security requirements.

What You'll Bring

• Minimum 3 years of experience analyzing commercial credit facilities or commercial real estate financing transactions over $5 million within a Canadian financial institution,
• Strong financial statement analysis and commercial credit underwriting skills.
• Experience assessing risk across commercial, industrial, institutional, agricultural and/or commercial real estate sectors.
• Ability to manage multiple complex files while meeting deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingualism (French and English) is considered a strong assets
• Must reside in the GTA.
