Synergy Projects Ltd in Edmonton is seeking a Commercial Construction Foreman to coordinate daily site activities, supervise trades, and uphold safety and quality standards on our commercial projects. The role requires strong leadership, the ability to read drawings, and hands-on experience in commercial construction.

You will manage crews, schedule work, track progress, and ensure OH&S compliance across job sites.

Competenze

• Journeyman Carpenter or Red Seal certification, or equivalent construction experience.
• Experience as Foreman, Supervisor, or Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of OH&S regulations and commercial construction quality practices.

Join Our Team!

We are looking for a Commercial Construction Foreman to join our Edmonton team. This position is responsible for coordinating daily site activities, supervising employees and subcontractors, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring project schedules are achieved.

What You’ll Do

• Lead daily site operations, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and field-level hazard assessments.
• Supervise carpenters, apprentices, and labourers, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
• Coordinate workforce assignments, material deliveries, equipment use, and site logistics.
• Monitor productivity and project progress while maintaining daily reports, timesheets, safety documentation, and site records.
• Ensure compliance with OH&S regulations, company safety policies, and quality control requirements.
• Review drawings, communicate scope changes, and assist with project documentation, including as-built drawings.
• Order materials, manage inventory, and maintain organized, professional job sites.

What You Bring

• Journeyman Carpenter, Red Seal certification, trade school diploma, or equivalent construction experience.
• Previous experience as a Foreman, Supervisor, or Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of OH&S regulations and commercial construction quality practices.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• WHMIS 2015 and CSTS 2020 required; First Aid, Fall Protection, Leadership for Safety Excellence, and other safety certifications are assets.

Working Conditions

• Physically demanding work involving lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, kneeling, and repetitive tasks.
• Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments throughout all seasons.
• Must be able to pass a 50 lb Fitness to Work assessment.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to assigned job sites.
• Must be willing and able to work on out-of-town projects as required.
• Appropriate PPE must be worn and maintained in accordance with company policies and OH&S regulations.
• Weekend work may be required depending on project schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.
