Job summary

Mongrain in the Greater Montreal area is looking for SUPERSTAR carpenters who are dynamic, independent, and meticulous, not afraid to work outdoors, and who take pride in finishing tasks efficiently.

This is a FULL-TIME position on commercial construction sites around Greater Montreal, paid according to the Commission de la Construction du Québec (CCQ) scales. In the short term, a site in Varennes is active. CCQ cards and related licenses are required.

Qualifications

• CCQ carpenter-joiner card and ASP construction + WHMIS 2015 cards required.
• 1 to 2 years of experience; 3 years as a carpenter may be asset.
• Class 3 driver's license is an asset.
• Working at height and platforms permits are assets.

Responsibilities

• Apply insulation techniques to project sites.
• Ensure repairs follow standard procedures.
• Prepare products and equipment for jobs.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Work safely according to site regulations.
• Assist in training coworkers as needed.
• Keep foreman informed of site activities.

WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY LIFE LIKE AS A CARPENTER WITH US?

• Apply all developed insulation techniques;
• Ensure that mechanical repairs follow standard operating procedures;
• Prepare the products and equipment necessary for the job;
• Ensure compliance with quality standards;
• Work in compliance with site safety regulations;
• As needed, assist in training and coaching coworkers;
• Keep the foreman constantly informed of site activities.

WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS ROLE:

• CCQ carpenter-joiner card and ASP construction + WHMIS 2015 cards (required);
• 1 to 2 years of experience 3 years as a carpenter, installing wool (an asset);
• Class 3 driver's license (an asset);
• Working at height, aerial work platforms and lifting platforms permit (an asset)

WORKING CONDITIONS

This is a FULL-TIME position and the work will take place on commercial construction sites located in the Greater Montreal area. You will be paid according to the standards and scale of the Commission de la Construction du Québec (CCQ).
