A temporary full-time role as an Integrated Marketing Specialist with the Government of British Columbia in Vancouver. Flexible work options are available, subject to an approved telework agreement; Hybrid work is available for employees residing within the Vancouver, Coast and Mountains (VCM) region and enables employees to telework from their home up to 3 days a week with in office days on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

PURPOSE OF POSITION
Reporting to the Integrated Marketing Manager, the Integrated Marketing Specialist is responsible for the project management and implementation of Destination BC’s brand marketing programs, ensuring delivery that is on brand, on time, on budget, and aligned with the relevant brand strategy. This role requires an understanding of marketing strategy and experience managing the delivery of brand campaigns. The Specialist brings knowledge of emerging tourism, brand and integrated marketing trends to effectively manage projects and provide strategic insight, and continues to develop this knowledge over time. They also have experience in digital marketing, mobile consumer behaviour, social media, content marketing, landing page development, and evolving media and technologies.
The Integrated Marketing Specialist operates in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and budgets. The role involves building and maintaining strong professional relationships with colleagues across Destination BC, as well as representatives in Destination BC’s overseas offices as required. The Specialist also collaborates with contractors, marketing and technology agencies, and tourism industry partners. They manage multiple projects in coordination with various business partners and engage professionally with representatives at Destination BC, Destination Canada, other tourism organizations, agencies, the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training, as well as related public and private sector agencies.
