Job summary

Interior Health in Merritt, BC is seeking a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist to join the Medical Imaging Department at Nicola Valley Health Centre. The CLXT will perform routine laboratory, x-ray and ECG procedures in accordance with departmental policies and standards.

They will also handle routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment as needed. This permanent part-time (0.74) opportunity features rotating day and evening shifts, offering a dynamic work schedule in a supportive IH

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an approved Combined Laboratory X-Ray Technician program.
  • Eligible for registration with a provincial licensing body.
  • One year of general experience in laboratory and diagnostic imaging fields or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of routine laboratory, x-ray and ECG procedures in accordance with departmental policies, procedures and standards as defined by respective service and accrediting bodies.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance of equipment and troubleshoot equipment problems as required.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment within the Medical Imaging Department at Nicola Valley Health Centre, Merritt, BC.

About the Job

The CLXT will perform a variety of routine laboratory, x-ray and ECG procedures in accordance with departmental policies, procedures and standards as defined by respective service and accrediting bodies. The CLXT also performs routine and preventative maintenance of equipment and trouble shoots equipment problems as required.

This is a Permanent Part Time (0.74) opportunity.
Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating day and evening shifts.
