Job summary

Velan Studios is seeking a talented Combat Designer to drive early-stage design decisions and implement compelling encounter design for a new isometric ARPG based on a premiere fantasy IP. You will shape enemy behaviors, boss encounters and combat systems in collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams.

The role negotiates a hybrid/onsite setup in Toronto, ON, with a salary range of CAD 60,000 to 80,000 per year. Prior experience in Co-Op or isometric ARPG combat is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design experience.
• Experience in boss design in an action or RPG setting.
• General scripting proficiency.
• Solid cross-disciplinary communication skills.

This is a hybrid or onsite position. Hybrid is 3 days a week in studio - Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Our studios is located in Toronto, ON.

The salary for this position is typically within the range specified below per year. Please note that the actual base pay may vary based on factors such as your qualifications, skills, experience, and other relevant considerations.

Canada Salary Range

• Mid-Level $60,000. - $80,000. CAD
