College Co-Op Student - System Operations Instructions Team - 4-12 months - Fall 2025

In this position, you will report to the Manager, Grid Operations in the Operating Assessment and Technical Support group at Hydro One. This group provides technical support to real-time electricity transmission and distribution operations and is responsible for developing and maintaining operating instructions for the control room to ensure safe and reliable system operation.

Minimum educational requirement: Enrolled in a 2-year college diploma in Business Administration (preferred).

Your job duties may include:

  • Assist in reception duties
  • Assist in posting operating instructions, memos, and facilities design description documents
  • Order supplies
  • Manage expense reports and provide administrative support to the Operating Assessment and Technical Support group of the System Operations Support department at Ontario Grid Control Center, Barrie
  • Arrange team meetings and take meeting minutes

Selection Criteria:

  • Must be enrolled in a 2-year college co-op program, with preference for students focusing on Business Administration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
