Role Summary :

We are seeking a bilingual (English and French) Collections Specialist to join our Montreal office. This hybrid role combines remote work with in-office presence, offering flexibility while fostering collaboration. The position emphasizes proactive account management and delinquency resolution as the primary focus, complemented by administrative support and operational analytics to enhance processes and provide insightful reports.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Collections Management :

Delinquency Management : Collaborate with senior collectors, the underwriting team, and legal to resolve complex account discrepancies and escalate high-risk cases.

  • Account Monitoring : Track and update client accounts daily to ensure delinquencies are addressed promptly and efficiently.
  • Client Communications : Engage with clients in both English and French through phone, email, and SMS, resolving overdue accounts with empathy and professionalism.
  • Risk Identification : Monitor trends and patterns in delinquent accounts to proactively identify risks and contribute to mitigation strategies.
  • Administrative Support :

Administrative Support : Provide vital assistance to the collections team by managing sensitive documentation, coordinating tasks, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations across both remote and in-office settings .

  • Process Optimization : Assist in the development and refinement of workflows and processes to improve team productivity and overall portfolio health.
  • Documentation Updates : Support the maintenance of internal collections guidelines to ensure alignment with best practices and operational efficiency.
  • Operational Analytics : Conduct data analysis to develop operational reports, providing actionable insights that drive improvements in collection strategies.

Qualifications :

  • Experience : Minimum 3+ years of experience in collections, customer account management, or a related field.
  • Technical Knowledge : Proficiency in Salesforce and MS Excel.
  • Language Proficiency : Fluent in English and French, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Analytical Thinking : Experience in operational data analysis, with the ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Organizational Skills : Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Adaptability : Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hybrid environment, balancing remote and in-office responsibilities while maintaining proactive communication with team members.
