Job summary

Flanagan Foodservice Inc. is seeking a warehouse associate in Whitby, ON, to move products using Material Handling Equipment and prepare items for shipping and receiving.

You will follow Health & Safety and Food Safety standards and ensure accurate order fulfillment for customer service excellence. The role requires handling pallets up to 80 lbs, working in dry and freezer zones, and accurate use of a computerized inventory system.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 months warehouse experience.
• Experience with electronic picking equipment is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment - lifting (from 10 to 80 lbs).
• Good communication skills (reading and writing) and strong customer service mentality.
• Ability to work in multiple environments including colder climates - refrigerated and freezer areas.
• A good attitude, with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Material Handling Equipment, including pre-shift and post-shift equipment check.
• Work in various temperature zones from dry to freezer.
• Follow safe and efficient procedures to meet customer requirements and maintain a clean environment.
• Complete Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality Assurance training.
• Report any Health & Safety concerns related to handling and inventory integrity.
• Adhere to WHMIS practices and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
