Job summary

STEP Energy Services is seeking a Coiled Tubing Operator to support field operations in Alberta. You will participate in 18/9 or 15/13 rotations, drive and rig up/down equipment, and work with crews to ensure safe, efficient execution.

Ideal candidates are prepared for hard manual labor, outdoors in all weather, with a willingness to learn and grow within a safety-focused team. STEP offers training and development, benefits, and community-focused programs.

Qualifications

• Related field experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Class 1 driver’s license preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be physically able to perform hard manual labor.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather on 18/9 or 15/13 rotations.

Responsibilities

• Drive coiled tubing equipment to and from sites safely.
• Learn and operate related coiled tubing equipment.
• Rig-up and rig-down of equipment for travel.
• Communicate with supervision and crews during planning and execution.
• Maintain a safe work area and follow policies.
• Assist in completing required documentation.

Coiled Tubing Operator (various rotations)

Reporting to the Site Manager, and under the direction of the Coiled Tubing Supervisor, the Coiled Tubing Operator is responsible for assisting in the efficient execution of various coiled tubing operations to meet client’s needs while learning and applying coiled tubing equipment operations.

• Driving coiled tubing equipment to and from sites safely.
• Learn and develop knowledge of the operation of associated equipment.
• Perform rig-up and rig-down of all equipment for travel.
• Communicate effectively with Coiled Tubing Supervisor, Site Manager and crews during the planning, coordination and execution of operations
• Maintain a safe work area or job site by following company policies, practices and procedures.
• Assist in filling out and review of required documentation.
