Job summary

A recruitment agency in Canada is seeking a Pump Operator to assist with well servicing. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of oilfield experience and be able to operate pumping equipment safely. Responsibilities include a variety of tasks from handling equipment to monitoring well control parameters. The role may require working away from home for extended periods.

Qualifications

  • 2 years previous oilfield experience.
  • Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with good driving record.
  • Valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, Fall Protection, ODA, CSO preferred.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment physical fitness assessment and drug screen.
  • Able to work away from home for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate pumping equipment to perform well servicing alongside continuous coiled tubing units
  • Drive specialised well services equipment to and from location
  • Rig in and out
  • Operate assigned equipment during treatment
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and correct them as necessary
  • Perform general preventative maintenance on all equipment
  • Maintain equipment to above industry standards
  • Monitor well control parameters and calculations before and during job applications
  • Assemble and prepare equipment for installation and service, perform pre‑and post‑ job equipment inspections
  • Blend or prepare chemicals for various job procedures
  • Operate with a safety‑first mindset
