Myticas Consulting Inc. seeks a Coherent Optical Systems Engineer to design, develop, and optimize next-generation coherent optical transceivers.

You will work with PIC, DSP, and analog ASIC hardware to perform digital-optical integration and calibration, validating performance across SNR/OSNR and ENOB metrics. The role requires collaboration across optical, digital, high-speed analog, and software teams to balance optical, electrical, and digital system capabilities for maximum transceiver

Qualifications

• PhD in EE/Applied Physics or related field with experience in optical communications or photonics.
• Hands-on system-level experience with optical hardware and transceivers.
• Strong understanding of coherent communication systems and modulation formats.

Responsabilités

• Perform digital-optical integration of next-generation coherent transceivers.
• Develop calibration and control algorithms to maximize performance.
• Characterize transceivers for SNR, OSNR tolerance, sensitivity, and related metrics.
• Validate sub-components across analog, DSP, and optical domains.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize optical-electrical-digital interplay.
• Analyze high-speed ADC/DAC performance and ENOB.
• Support hardware bring-up, debugging, and performance tweaks.
• Automate test, measurement, and data acquisition processes.
• Extract insights from experimental data for system improvements.
• Contribute to design decisions balancing optical, electrical, and digital aspects.
