Job summary

CBI Health Chinook Clinic in Calgary, AB is seeking an entry-level Cognitive Therapist to support individuals recovering from brain injury through cognitive rehabilitation programs. You will work within an interdisciplinary team, delivering one-on-one sessions and developing activities to improve problem solving, memory, and information processing.

You will be trained on the job by experienced professionals, with opportunities to grow and progress within the organization.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in psychology, educational psychology or related diploma.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions independently with maturity.
• Experience with adults, cognitive barriers or disabilities is an asset.
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to travel in southern Alberta.

Responsibilities

• Administer programs to improve cognitive functioning (problem solving, memory, information processing).
• Assist in generating activities for client participation and community integration.
• Provide one-on-one support under supervision within the interdisciplinary team.
