Motor Coach Industries (MCI) is seeking a Coach Assembly Associate in Winnipeg, MB, to contribute to assembling and testing coach components. The role emphasizes adherence to HS&E standards, reading blueprints, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while meeting production deadlines.

Ideal candidates have manufacturing or assembly experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• Ability to read and follow work instructions and interpret blueprints or technical drawings.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly is an asset.
• A strong commitment to shop floor safety and compliance with HS&E regulations.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with soldering techniques and producing clean, reliable solder joints while following safety and quality standards.

Responsabilidades

• Install, assemble, and test coach components within takt time.
• Operate hand, air, and power tools such as drills, impact guns, grinders, sanders, torque wrenches.
• Follow work instructions and read blueprints for precision and quality.
• Identify and resolve assembly issues to keep production on schedule.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize processes and workflow.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area meeting 5S standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

COACH ASSEMBLY ASSOCIATE

POSITION OVERVIEW

Join our dynamic team as a key contributor in the assembly and manufacturing of MCI coaches! As part of our workforce covered by the Collective Agreement, you will play a crucial role in building top-quality coaches, installing and testing various components, and ensuring every step meets our high standards and deadlines. Safety is our top priority, and in this role, you'll actively promote a safe working environment and comply with all Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) regulations, as well as Plant Safety rules.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Install, assemble, and test various coach components efficiently within company-set Takt time.
• Operate a variety of hand, air, and power tools such as drills, impact guns, grinders, sanders, and torque wrenches.
• Follow detailed work instructions and read blueprints where applicable to ensure precision and quality.
• Identify and resolve assembly issues to keep production on schedule.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize processes and improve workflow.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area to meet 5S standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
