Job summary

Motor Coach Industries (MCI) is seeking a Vice President, Manufacturing to lead our Winnipeg and Pembina facilities. You will translate business priorities into manufacturing strategy, oversee Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Maintenance, Process Planning, Tooling, and Lean, and report to the President to drive performance.

You will advance safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, workforce capability, and customer satisfaction while building leadership capability,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience within a complex manufacturing environment.
• Post‑secondary education in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
• Experience leading large manufacturing organizations through change and driving accountability.
• Experience in Lean, continuous improvement, capacity planning, and cost reduction.
• Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for manufacturing operations across Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Maintenance, Process Planning, Tooling, and Lean.
• Establish manufacturing strategy, annual operating plans, long-range priorities, and performance objectives.
• Lead manufacturing execution to meet safety, schedule, and quality targets at optimal cost.
• Strengthen production systems and operating discipline for efficiency and consistency.
• Champion safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
• Monitor KPIs and drive Lean, cost reduction, waste elimination, and operational transformation.
