General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada is seeking a student co-op for the Land Command Support System (LCSS) role in Ottawa, Canada. The position involves testing, integration, and documentation for defense-grade information systems supporting Canadian Army operations.
You will join a team responsible for test planning, lab configurations, and field support while developing skills in AI/ML and security clearances. Hybrid work options and future co-op opportunities are offered.
This role will be working on the Land Command Support System (LCSS) which primarily supports the Canadian Army operations by providing the information services required to make effective and timely decision. The system is an interconnected network of digital communications and information systems by which the data needed to plan, direct and control tactical land operations is communicated, stored, processed, and displayed. The Tactical Systems Integration Lab Support Team execute integration and system testing before it is fielded to the customer.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, or an applicable scientific discipline.
Experience working with or familiarity with AI/ML models is preferred.
It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations.

The expected hourly rate for this position is $24.92 - $33.23. Final compensation will be determined based on your relevant work experience to date. As part of student placement, you will be eligible for quarterly pay increases.
