Job summary

Huawei Canada is offering an immediate Co-op opening for a Researcher in the Noah’s Ark lab, a team focused on advancing AI research to benefit products and society.

You will participate in embodied AI projects, implement algorithms in Python (PyTorch), collaborate with researchers, and produce technical reports; the total annual compensation ranges from $58,000 to $104,000 depending on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in third year Bachelor or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Good knowledge of Deep Learning components (training, regularization, generalization).
• Strong coding skills in Python, experience with PyTorch.
• Experience in training or inference using Large Language Models (LLMs) is an asset.
• Knowledge and experience in robotics is an asset.
• Good verbal & written communication skills.

The total target annual compensation for this position ranges from $58,000 to $104,000 depending on education, experience, and demonstrated expertise.

About the ideal candidate:

• Currently enrolled in third year Bachelor or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.

• Good knowledge of Deep Learning (DL) components (training, regularization, generalization).

• Strong coding skills in Python, experience with coding in Pytorch.

• Experience in training or inference using Large Language Models (LLMs) is an asset.
