You will develop, test, and deploy digital web apps on AWS, work with React front ends and serverless tech, and collaborate in an enterprise agile delivery team with IT peers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, unit test, and deploy digital web apps hosted on AWS.
• Shadow senior developers to evaluate tech and design for enterprise scalability.
• Build knowledge of React front ends, serverless tech (Lambda, DynamoDB), and micro-service architectures.
• QA, fix defects, run manual tests, and automation for high-quality products.
• Gather requirements, build testing solutions, and troubleshoot issues to deliver quality products.
• Develop automated scripts to improve test efficiency (env setup, test execution, reporting).
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, QA, and UX/UI designers.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data services teams.

Job Summary

An exciting co-op opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Saskatoon corporate office beginning January 2027 for an approximate 8-16 month term. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position and is open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete.

What You'll Do:

• Application development, unit test, and deployment of custom digital web apps hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Participate in the design, building, and maintenance of software modules
  • Shadow senior developers as they evaluate technologies and design for enterprise scalability, performance, and optimization
  • Build working knowledge about responsive React front ends and, leading serverless technologies (such as Lambda and DynamoDB) and micro-service-based architectures
• Quality Assurance (QA), fix defects and participate in QA review processes, manual tests, and automation
  • Gather requirements, build testing solutions, and troubleshoot issues to deliver a high-quality product
  • Develop and implement automated scripts to improve test efficiency, including environment setup, test execution, and reporting
  • Uncover existing and future problems with custom digital web apps hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Update the testing procedure to provide better testing coverage and user experience
• Actively work with other roles in an enterprise agile delivery team, including project managers, business analysts, QA, application developers, and UX/UI designers
• Work with other IT teams - such as infrastructure, cyber security, and data services/analytics
• Learn AWS, React, TypeScript, C#, Splunk, CircleCi, GitHub, Jira, and many other technologies

What You'll Bring:

• Completed a minimum of 2 years of a Computer Science undergraduate degree with an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term
