Nutrien invites a motivated student to join as a co-op at our Saskatoon or Calgary Corporate office starting January 2027 for an 8–16 month term. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position open to students who will return to studies after the work term.

Responsibilities include development, testing, and deployment of cloud-based web apps on AWS, building and maintaining software modules, and collaborating within an enterprise agile team with product, QA, and UX/UI roles.

Job Summary

An exciting co-op opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Saskatoon or Calgary Corporate office beginning January 2027 for an approximate 8-16 month term. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position and is open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete.

What You'll Do

• Application development, unit test, and deployment of custom digital web apps hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Participate in the design, building, and maintenance of software modules
• Shadow senior developers as they evaluate technologies and design for enterprise scalability, performance, and optimization
• Build working knowledge about responsive React front ends and, leading serverless technologies (such as Lambda and DynamoDB) and micro-service-based architectures
• Quality Assurance (QA), fix defects and participate in QA review processes, manual tests, and automation
• Gather requirements, build testing solutions, and troubleshoot issues to deliver a high-quality product
• Develop and implement automated scripts to improve test efficiency, including environment setup, test execution, and reporting
• Uncover existing and future problems with custom digital web apps hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Update the testing procedure to provide better testing coverage and user experience
• Actively work with other roles in an enterprise agile delivery team, including project managers, business analysts, QA, application developers, and UX/UI designers
• Work with other IT teams - such as infrastructure, cyber security, and data services/analytics
• Learn AWS, React, TypeScript, C#, Splunk, CircleCi, GitHub, Jira, and many other technologies

What You'll Bring

• Completed a minimum of 2 years of a Computer Science undergraduate degree with an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term
